UBT International Smart Schools Celebrates March 7 and School Day with a Festive Program

UBT International Smart Schools organized a festive event in honor of March 7 – Teacher’s Day and School Day, a special occasion that brought together students, parents, teachers, UBT academic staff representatives, and many guests.

The event served as a moment of reflection on the role of teachers in society and their noble mission in educating and shaping new generations. In his message, UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi highlighted the historical significance of the first Albanian school and the sacrifices of teachers throughout the centuries. He praised their extraordinary contribution to educational and social development, emphasizing the irreplaceable role of teachers despite major technological changes.

During the event, the Director of UBT Schools, Hajrije Devetaku Gojani, stressed the special importance of March 7 for the institution, noting that the anniversary of the first Albanian school coincides with the founding of UBT International Smart Schools.

“UBT International Smart Schools are part of a broader educational vision aimed at providing high-quality and advanced education for our students. By drawing on the best international practices and adapting teaching to contemporary requirements, we are creating a new generation prepared for global challenges,” she said. Director Devetaku Gojani also acknowledged the dedication and work of the teachers, expressing gratitude for their role in shaping students and achieving results comparable at the international level.

In his speech, UBT Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Visar Hoxha highlighted the irreplaceable role of teachers in shaping individuals and society.

“The role of a teacher is more than teaching—it is a mission, a responsibility, and a commitment to creating an enlightened and knowledgeable society. Each of us remembers a teacher who inspired, supported, and motivated us to achieve more. Today, we express our sincere gratitude to all those who dedicate themselves to the education and formation of new generations. In particular, I want to congratulate and thank the teachers and staff of UBT International Smart Schools, who represent the best example of quality and innovative education in Kosovo and beyond. Your dedication, collaboration with parents, and use of contemporary methods make our school a model of educational excellence,” said Prof. Hoxha.

To conclude this important event, the students of UBT International Smart Schools presented a rich cultural and artistic program, making the day even more special. Through songs, poetry, and theatrical performances, they delivered powerful messages about the importance of education and the role of teachers in building a brighter future.
