
UBT hosts the International Conference TECIS 2022
26/10/2022At the UBT Innovative Science Park in Lipjan, the ceremonial opening of the International Conference “IFAC International Conference on Technology, Culture and International Stability, TECIS 2022” took place. This year, through UBT as the host institution, the conference is being organized in Kosovo for the first time.
UBT Rector, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, welcomed local and international professors and researchers to UBT, thanking them for their participation and emphasizing the importance of organizing such conferences with a scientific, innovative, and technological character.
“In this conference, topics will be presented that are highly important for both the present and the future in improving sustainable development, social stability, the creation of new jobs, and the development of innovation. This conference will encompass technology, culture, and international stability, and as such, it highlights the great importance of organizing such an event with a strong social foundation and content,” said Rector Hajrizi.
International professor Peter Kopacek from the Vienna University of Technology thanked UBT for its hospitality and organization of the conference, wishing participants a successful event and a pleasant experience in Prishtina.
“We will strive to create a very interesting and important program, addressing various topics that will benefit society,” said Professor Kopacek.
Furthermore, on behalf of the international TECIS community, the IFAC Technical Board, and the IFAC scientific and industrial community, Larry Stapleton thanked Rector Hajrizi and UBT for their hospitality and for organizing this conference in Kosovo.
“We thank UBT for organizing this conference in Kosovo, where different topics will be addressed regarding digitalization, the digital transformation of science, Industry 4.0, robotics, digital culture, and international stability,” said Stapleton.
UBT professor and compliance officer at KEDS, Avni Alidemaj, also wished the participants a successful conference, emphasizing the need for such events for the benefit of society and the scientific research community.
For the first time in Kosovo, UBT, together with the Vienna University of Technology (IHRT), is organizing the “IFAC International Conference on Technology, Culture and International Stability, TECIS 2022” over the course of three consecutive days.
This conference is supported by the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) and will address topics and scientific papers concerning the stability of the international system in light of technological development and the dramatic changes within this system. It is worth noting that the papers and publications from this conference will be indexed and listed in Scopus.
