UBT-CERT trains students in Cybersecurity Offense with a focus on Linux Systems
09/12/2025The UBT-CERT division conducted a specialized training for Bachelor-level students on the topic of cybersecurity offense. The training, titled “Attacking Linux Systems,” included both theoretical and practical components, based on a simulated cybersecurity drill within UBT’s virtual cybersecurity laboratories.

During the training, students were introduced to key topics such as Linux kernel workflow, the GNU Project, and offensive operations against Linux systems, gaining a deeper understanding of the architecture and usage of Linux systems.
Participants had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice through a real security simulation, where each student utilized a virtual lab during the cybersecurity drill phase, directly implementing the concepts covered in the training.
This activity represents another example of UBT’s commitment to providing practical and advanced education in the field of cybersecurity, thanks to UBT’s Cybersecurity Laboratory, which features over 400 virtual labs covering all major pillars of cybersecurity at a practical level.
The training not only enhances students’ technical skills but also prepares them for real-world professional challenges in the fields of cybersecurity and information technology.
