In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, UBT marked the graduation ceremony of its 22nd Generation of students, gifting Kosova and the region with a new generation of professionals, innovators, and future leaders. The ceremony took place at the “1 October” Hall in Prishtina, in two sessions, to honor and proudly welcome hundreds of graduates from Bachelor and Master programs across various fields.

The students, filled with enthusiasm for this major academic achievement, closed an important chapter of their lives to begin a new professional and social journey.

On this occasion, the Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, expressed his pride and joy for the success of the students, congratulating them for their hard work and dedication during their years of study.

“This is a moment of pride, reflection, and joy. You have already proven that with discipline, willpower, and knowledge, anything can be achieved. As the 22nd Generation of UBT, you now carry the responsibility of being ambassadors of knowledge, innovation, and the values this institution represents,” said Rector Hajrizi.

Among the distinguished guests were representatives of the diplomatic corps. The Ambassador of France to Kosova, Olivier Guérot, congratulated the students on their success, while also present was Rafaela Rittuci, representative of the Italian Embassy in Kosovo.

The ceremony was enriched with speeches from UBT alumni who shared their inspiring success stories.

Fortesa Kllokoqi, alumna of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, shared her journey from Nursing and Paramedical Sciences at UBT to her current position at United Hospital.

“My path has not always been easy, but it has always been worth it. UBT taught me that with work, passion, and support, every dream can become reality. Today I am proud that as an alumna of this institution, I am contributing directly to healthcare.”

Meanwhile, renowned architect and founder of Maden Group, Ideal Vejsa, spoke about his professional path after completing his Master’s studies at UBT. He emphasized that challenges are a natural part of the profession, but they are what make the work more creative.

“Every project is an opportunity to test new ideas and leave a mark. This is something I learned at UBT and which has accompanied me throughout my career,” said Vejsa.

Heartfelt words of gratitude were also shared by several graduates.

Marigona Doberlluka, from the Faculty of Psychology, said that UBT is not only a place of study, but also a healthy and inspiring environment for personal and professional development.

“Here we learned that challenges are not obstacles, but opportunities to discover our true potential. UBT is the place where dreams take shape,” she emphasized.

Meanwhile, Beatrisë Shabanaj, from the Faculty of Management, Business and Economics, who will soon continue her Master’s studies in Frankfurt with the prestigious Deutschlandstipendium scholarship, stated:

“This institution has given me knowledge, values, and courage to aim higher. Today I share this success with my professors, parents, and colleagues, believing that each of us will continue to make a difference in society.”

A special moment of the ceremony was the solemn oath of the students, led by Rinor Rexhaj and Fjona Sylejmani, as well as the Hippocratic Oath, led by Mjellma Çollaku, symbolizing the graduates’ commitment to serve knowledge, health, and the country with integrity and responsibility.

The atmosphere was further enlivened by musical performances from students of the Faculty of Modern Music, Digital Production, and Management: Eda Lecaj with “I Will Survive”, Leona Ferati with “Firework”, and Genta Selmani with “We Are the Champions.”

The ceremony culminated with the traditional cap toss, a highly anticipated moment symbolizing the completion of a journey filled with work, dedication, and sacrifice. With this gesture, the 22nd Generation of UBT officially began a new chapter in their lives.

With two decades of experience and achievements, UBT once again proves that it remains a leading institution of education, innovation, and development in Kosova and the region.
