
The 7th International TURKIC COSE 2025 Congress Officially Opens at UBT
13/11/2025The 7th International TURKIC COSE 2025 Congress (Turkic World Congress on Science and Engineering) officially opened at the UBT Science, Innovation, and Technology Park in Lipjan, marking one of the region’s most significant scientific events. The congress has brought together dozens of university rectors, professors, researchers, and institutional representatives from many countries worldwide.
The prestigious congress is being held from November 13–15, 2025, organized jointly by UBT, Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (NOHU, Turkey), Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU, Azerbaijan), Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (Kyrgyzstan), and Ahmet Yesevi University (AYU, Kazakhstan).
The opening ceremony was attended by high-level academic and institutional figures, including UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, Rector of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (Turkey), Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Rector of Kyrgyz-Turk Manas University, Prof. Dr. Vilayət Məmməd oğlu Vəliyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, Prof. Dr. Naci Genc, Vice-Rector of Ahmet Yesevi University (Kazakhstan), as well as representatives from Kyiv Technical University and other international institutions from Europe, Asia, and Africa.
In his welcome address, UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi highlighted that the congress serves as an important platform for academic collaboration and scientific exchange between Turkic world countries and the Balkan region:
“It is a great pleasure and honor to welcome such an international event as TURK-COSE 2025 to UBT. This congress brings together the brightest minds in science, technology, engineering, and innovation, aiming to build new bridges of international cooperation. UBT remains committed to being a center of excellence where theory and practice, education and industry, as well as academic vision and social development, converge to create a better future for all,” he emphasized.
Following Rector Hajrizi, Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu, Rector of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, underscored the role of the congress in strengthening scientific collaboration among Turkic world countries:
“Today, distinguished scientists from the Turkic world, as well as Asia, Africa, and Europe, have gathered here in Pristina to share knowledge and promote academic interaction. TURK-COSE 2025 focuses on strategic topics such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, nanotechnology, smart cities, and renewable energy. This event is a testament to academic and scientific unity among our nations.”
Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Rector of Kyrgyz-Turk Manas University, highlighted the transformative role of science and technology in the age of artificial intelligence:
“We live in a time when science no longer merely observes nature but creates systems that learn and think. Artificial intelligence has become the common language of all sciences. Congresses like this are idea laboratories, where the discoveries of the future are born, and where bridges of collaboration are built across generations of scientists.”
Prof. Dr. Naci Genc, Vice-Rector of Ahmet Yesevi University, emphasized the congress’s role in promoting regional and international collaboration:
“Events like TURK-COSE not only encourage the sharing of academic knowledge but also strengthen friendship and partnerships among our nations. I am confident that the ideas, presentations, and collaborations generated here will positively impact the scientific and technological development of the region.”
The main organizer of the congress, Prof. Dr. Murat Barut from Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, noted that this year’s edition includes an extensive program of over 14 thematic sessions covering areas such as engineering and technology, architecture and sustainable environment, medicine and biotechnology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, natural sciences, and renewable energy.
Over 150 scientific papers will be presented during the congress, with both physical and virtual participation from researchers representing Turkey, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and other countries across the Euro-Asian region.
By organizing this congress, UBT once again demonstrates its role as an international center of academic excellence and innovation, strengthening Kosovo’s position as an important hub in the global network of scientific and technological cooperation.
