Successful Completion of Certification Ceremony for 24 BKT Kosovo Managers in “Data Science with AI,” Organized by UBT
13/03/2026UBT hosted the certification ceremony for 24 managers from the BKT Kosovo, who successfully completed the professional training program “Data Science with AI”, marking an important milestone in advancing expertise in data analysis and artificial intelligence.
The ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both UBT and BKT Kosovo, including UBT Rector and Founder Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, BKT Kosovo CEO and Board Member Mr. Suat Bakkal, and Dr. Besnik Skenderi, Director of Education and Professional Development at UBT.
During his speech, BKT Kosovo CEO Mr. Suat Bakkal highlighted the program’s importance in enhancing staff professional development and strengthening the bank’s analytical capabilities.
“This is just the beginning of a professional collaboration between BKT Kosovo and UBT. In the future, we expect this partnership to deepen through additional projects and initiatives that will contribute to advancing our capacities in technology, artificial intelligence, and data analytics,” he emphasized.
UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi congratulated participants for their commitment and engagement throughout the program, underlining the critical role of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in transforming the financial sector and the digital economy.
“Programs like this are essential to prepare professionals ready to face the challenges of the digital economy. Collaborating with leading financial institutions like BKT demonstrates UBT’s dedication to connecting education, technology, and industry,” Rector Hajrizi stated.
Meanwhile, Dr. Besnik Skenderi, Director of Education and Professional Development at UBT, noted that the program was designed to provide practical and applicable knowledge in data analysis and the use of artificial intelligence for decision-making.
“Our goal is to empower managers and professionals with concrete skills in Data Science and AI, enabling them to use data strategically and create value for their organizations,” Dr. Skenderi explained.
Program participants praised the high quality and advanced content of the training modules, emphasizing that the knowledge gained will directly support their daily work and improve decision-making processes within their institution.
“The program was highly practical and focused on real-world solutions we face at work. It was an extremely valuable experience that helped us better understand the potential of data and artificial intelligence in the banking sector,” one participant shared.
