Why is this program vital for Kosovo?
Kosovo’s healthcare system has a great need for public health professionals who focus not only on treating diseases but also on prevention, education, planning, and crisis response. The clearest example is the COVID-19 pandemic, where public health experts were on the front lines, organizing testing, tracing cases, informing citizens, and developing policies that saved lives.
Kosovo also faces serious challenges such as environmental pollution, the prevalence of chronic diseases, lack of health education in schools and communities, the need to promote healthy lifestyles, and sustainable organization of primary care. This program provides practical solutions to these challenges.
