Infrastructure

The laboratories, library, studios, classrooms, learning spaces, and student office collectively ensure the sustainability of the program and provide a solid foundation for students throughout their academic journey. This well-developed infrastructure enables students to effectively translate theoretical knowledge into practical skills, supporting their academic growth and preparing them for professional success after graduation.

The Design Professional (BA) program at UBT College in Lipjan and Prizren is fully supported by dedicated facilities and specialized equipment that meet the needs of the program and the projected student enrollment. Spacious lecture halls accommodate large-group instruction, while smaller classrooms are available for seminars, critiques, and project-based learning. A fully equipped PC lab supports technical and software-intensive coursework.

Key facilities that support practical skill development include a fashion studio with sewing machines, overlockers, and tailor’s dummies; an art studio designed for illustration and sketching; and a dedicated design studio for conceptual and applied design work. These spaces provide students with hands-on experience using industry-standard tools and environments.

UBT also maintains a comprehensive library with approximately 300,000 titles, including essential print and digital resources. Online access to databases such as JSTOR, Sage, and EBSCO ensures students can explore a wide range of design-related subjects. Additionally, course materials are made available through the Moodle platform, where instructors regularly upload and adapt content to meet the evolving needs of each class. Teaching staff are required to provide reference materials aligned with course objectives, many of which are accessible through UBT’s extensive library holdings.
