Siemens Healthineers Visits UBT, Highlights Potential for Collaboration in Digital Medicine
20/02/2026A delegation from the global company Siemens Healthineers, renowned for its leadership in medical technologies, clinical digitalization, and advanced e-Health solutions, visited the UBT Science, Innovation, and Technology Park in Lipjan.
The Siemens Healthineers delegation was welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, together with the academic staff. On this occasion, Rector Hajrizi presented UBT’s strategic development, programs in health sciences, technology, and engineering, as well as the infrastructural capacities offered by the Science Park for research, innovation, and direct industry engagement.
During the visit to the laboratories, simulation centers, and research spaces, discussions focused specifically on the importance of hospital management systems and the development of an integrated healthcare system.
In this context, UBT’s Smart City ecosystem was recognized as an ideal environment for developing pilot projects in digital healthcare, professional training for medical staff, and strategic partnerships that can contribute to modernizing the healthcare system in Kosovo.
