Rector Hajrizi Honored with Recognition at the Balkan International Youth Summit for Peace 2025
23/09/2025The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, was honored at the Balkan International Youth Summit for Peace 2025, an event that gathered over 120 young people from more than 40 countries around the world, along with academic figures, politicians, and representatives of civil society.
The summit, organized by Youth and Students for Peace Balkan (YSP Balkan) in cooperation with the municipalities of South Mitrovica, North Mitrovica, and Leposaviq, hosted three days of dialogue, innovation, and cultural activities.
The recognition states: “In recognition of your distinguished contribution to empowering young people as active citizens and for supporting initiatives that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through your commitment to dialogue, education, and cooperation, you have advanced the values of peace, justice, and inclusion, inspiring youth to take responsibility in shaping their communities and our shared future.”
Prof. Dr. Hajrizi was valued for the continuous support that UBT and UBT International Smart Schools have provided to initiatives for peace, youth inclusion, and the building of international bridges of cooperation.
