Innovation, Sustainability and Social Impact: Rector Hajrizi’s Speech at the Youth Summit
23/09/2025The Rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi, took part in the Balkan International Youth Summit for Peace 2025, an important event that gathered over 120 young people from more than 40 countries worldwide, together with academic figures, politicians, and representatives of civil society.
As part of the summit, Rector Hajrizi delivered a speech on the topic: “Leading beyond boundaries: Innovation, Sustainability and Social Impact at UBT”, where he emphasized the importance of innovation and sustainable development in education, as well as UBT’s role in empowering youth as the leaders of the future.
He underlined that through education and international projects, UBT students learn to create positive social impact, build bridges of cooperation, and actively engage in society.
The summit, organized by Youth and Students for Peace Balkan (YSP Balkan) in cooperation with the municipalities of South Mitrovica, North Mitrovica, and Leposaviq, featured three full days of dialogue, innovative activities, and cultural programs that foster intercultural exchange and strengthen international cooperation among young people.
