From UBT to Italy – The inspiring journey of UBT Food Sciences student, Anisa Krasniqi

Former UBT Food Sciences and Biotechnology student, Anisa Krasniqi, has embarked on a unique journey in the field of scientific research. After completing her bachelor’s studies at UBT, she continued her master’s studies at the University of Florence, where she was involved in the “Chronotype-adapted Diet and Weight Loss” study at the largest Italian Polyclinic Hospital in Florence, Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Careggi, in collaboration with the University of Florence.

In this study, Anisa played a key role as a nutritionist and researcher, overseeing and assisting in the study of 142 overweight and obese patients, using a personalized diet based on their chronotype.

“The fields of science and research are an endless journey, and I am determined to contribute my knowledge and passion to create positive changes. My studies and efforts have been aided by the opportunities UBT has offered me and by the dedication to continuous development,” Krasniqi said.

Currently, she is writing her diploma thesis, which is also related to this study, focusing on microbiota changes depending on chronotype and the role of healthy microbiota in weight loss.

With her commitment and passion for scientific research, Anisa is an excellent example of success and the opportunities UBT offers its students, empowering them for a successful career in the field of science and technology.
