UBT Ranked as Kosova’s Top Institution for Science by SCImago

UBT has achieved another major success on the international stage, being ranked as the number one institution in Kosova for scientific research in the prestigious SCImago ranking. Beyond leading in Kosova, UBT has surpassed several universities in the region, establishing itself as one of the strongest academic and scientific institutions across Albanian-speaking territories.

This recognition positions UBT as the top institution in Albanian-speaking countries, demonstrating its commitment to scientific research, innovation, and the advancement of higher education. In this ranking, the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” was ranked second in Kosova, while other institutions have yet to be ranked.

UBT Rector Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi emphasized that this success is the result of a clear vision and tireless work to create an integrated academic ecosystem.

“UBT has managed to build a unique platform that intertwines technology, science, and innovation, creating real opportunities for researchers and students. The SCImago ranking is further proof of UBT’s quality and leadership in education and science in the region,” Rector Hajrizi stated.

SCImago is an international platform that analyzes and ranks scientific institutions based on their productivity and research impact. The ranking combines research performance, innovation, and social impact.

UBT continues to confirm its status as a leading higher education institution, being featured in prestigious rankings such as WURI, GreenMetric, Webometrics, EFQM, and receiving significant international awards, including the “European Young Entrepreneurial University of the Year.”
