Aims and Objectives

Objectives

During the first two years program offers general knowledge in the field management, business, and economics, where students acquire knowledge and experience based on the theoretical and practical means of the program. During this phase of the program, the student is expected to be prepared in general terms at both academic and professional level, understanding key academic and business principles.

The program is designed to also enable students to focus their studies on different specializations during their third year.

In terms of the general program, students are offered the opportunity to: gain knowledge in academic writing, learn foreign languages, advanced skills in communication in business, study key concepts of mathematics for business, study application of information technology, etc.

In terms of economics, students are offered the opportunity to study: the basis of microeconomics and macroeconomics in theory and practice, marketing, basis and standards of accounting, applied statistics, advanced economics, financial management, etc.

In terms of management of business processes, students study the basis of management and entrepreneurship, starting with from fundamental principles of business and organizational management. Besides, students are offered courses in advanced management such as advanced business management principles required in entrepreneurship, in the application of information systems in business, in entrepreneurship, and functionality of business networks. During this program, students are engaged in market research, in starting and developing new businesses, in procurement, business processes, production, and sales of products and services.

 

Expected Results

Bank, Finance, and Insurance

After successfully completing the program in this field, students will be able to:

  • Read and understand business financial statements;
  • Develop operational and financial strategies of a business;
  • Manage finances and financial risks;
  • Understand markets, international financial institutions and how they work;
  • Understand concepts, theory, financial management techniques and corporate finance;
  • Become familiar with financial techniques and its application.

Accounting, Auditing, and Taxes

In this field of specialization, students will be able to analyze and understand:

  • How to utilize different techniques in accounting and data registering;
  • Identifying and correcting mistakes in accounting and financial accounting;
  • Financial statements components and preparing and describing these to businesses;
  • Applying financial reporting standards in accounting and taxes;
  • Understanding standards, procedures, and regulations regarding financial reporting.

Marketing and Sales

After successfully completing this program, students will understand:

  • International and national market systems;
  • How to enter international markets;
  • Understanding marketing’s role in sales and marketing strategies;
  • Understanding psychological aspects of marketing and techniques to apply it;
  • Understanding consumer behavior, based on techniques and tools to conduct research;
  • Developing and managing communication programs effectively.

Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation

After successfully completing this program, students will understand:

  • How to do feasibility studies and analyses of potential for a new or existing business;
  • Develop and analyze organization structures and business strategies to improve their competitive skills;
  • Apply techniques that help evaluate new business opportunities;
  • Understand strategic management and how multinational corporations succeed;
  • Think critically and apply different methods in business planning;
  • Understand innovation in entrepreneurship;
  • Develop and analyze case studies with regard to innovation and entrepreneurship in class;

International Business

After successfully completing this program, students will understand:

  • Feasibility studies, business plans, starting and operating international businesses;
  • Understanding how to develop, design and implement business strategies in an international business environment;
  • Discussing the complexity of international businesses;
  • Understanding how international markets work;
  • Understanding how business enters international markets.
